It’s hard to believe the great results in just 30 days!
2.4 pounds of fat loss
2.6 pounds of muscle gain
1.3% reduced body fat
I have been involved in athletics and fitness since I was a teenager. I played high school football, ran track and continued as a sprinter in college for a few years. I feel like a part of a team again…a family. The work-life balance is real and finding time to fit a “real” workout into our busy schedules disrupts that delicate balancing act even more. The 30-minute schedule throughout the day helps maintain that balance. After every workout I know that I have “put in work” and there is a genuine sense of accomplishment! The workouts are high intensity, fun, challenging and motivating! The instructors are focused on safe, efficient and effective exercises to help you reach your fitness goals and maximize your investment in healthy living. It was a relief not to see the same old routines or fad fitness with complicated/useless movements. The workout approach is fluid and agile with check-ins and feedback integrated throughout the session.
I look forward to the next 30 days of my journey!

Lost 56 lbs and 19% in less than a year!
I started with Bell Fitness almost a year ago because I was thinking that “working out” would make me feel better. I tried the free class and loved it. The atmosphere and the people are so welcoming; so I thought I can do this.
Over the last year, I have learned so much more about myself and how to care for my body in a way I never had before. I had to take a hard look at how I view food and the fuel I feed my body. How a half an hour a day is what I need; and that my health is not something that I can “set and forget”. This is hard work every day but something I am so proud of!
I love coming to Bell Fitness and I really do enjoy working out more than I ever thought I could.

For the last few years I really gave up on myself. I resigned myself to the fact that I was never going to be “in shape” again. I would have good intentions, eat better and do some sort of exercise, lose 5 lbs and then think I was done. The same cycle – I’ll start Monday. Bell Fitness kept popping up on my FB page. I’d check out page and think I can’t do that. I’ll be only one not knowing what I’m doing. Then noticed a friend of mine had been going. I asked her some questions and she said just come with me and try it. I did. It was tough! But I was hooked. After a few days, I had more and more stamina so I knew I could do it. But more importantly, I think for the first time in my life I’m learning how to eat right, which is the other half of the battle. Not a diet, but actually learning what fuels my body. And it feels good! It took a few weeks but I think I got it. Bell Fitness is not just another gym, they’ve become friends, support, and motivators. If you’re on the fence about it, just try it. Trust me, 30 minutes is worth devoting to yourself! I can’t wait for an update in 6 months!

I have been a member at Bell Fitness since October 2018. I had heard about it from friends and watched challenges come up on FaceBook but didn’t think I could afford to join. Once I joined, I realized I couldn’t afford not to join. I may reveal too much about myself here but maybe some of you can relate and find my journey helpful.
As a child, I struggled with my weight. I was made fun of and had extremely low self-esteem as a result. As a young teen I watched a movie called The Best Little Girl In The World where the daughter had an eating disorder and I decided that was what I would do to lose weight. I have a tendency to be a bit obsessive/compulsive when it comes to weight and I ended up being bulimic and anorexic for years. I went from 147 lbs and 5’2″ to 102 lbs and 5’6″ at one point. I have battled with my disorders all my life on and off when something triggered self-esteem lows. I have suffered several lows over the past three years and was feeling the urge again but this time I decided to try something different. I knew I needed to do things the healthy way for once and I needed help. So after seeing a group of women complete the little black dress challenge once again in September, I decided to contact Margherita and check out Bell Fitness.
From the moment I spoke with Margherita and the team of coaches here, I felt welcome and supported. They did not know my journey yet, but after the first workout and our conversation, I decided this was a safe place to begin a new journey, a healthy one. Little did I know that moment and decision would change my life. Not only did I receive coaching on food and exercise but I gained a support network of amazing women, which was just what I needed. The friends I have made here have been an inspiration to me to just get fit for me. They push and challenge me to be the best version of me and have become an amazing group of friends. There is no judgment here, just support and motivation. The journey has not been easy, but through it I have found myself and a level of self-acceptance I never thought I would get back.
Although there were and are times I feel like just sleeping in or staying home and being lazy, I get myself up and show up. I hate missing workouts now and have even changed business flights to get back in time for workouts. I look forward to the challenge of the workouts, the support and the camaraderie. I know I have a ways to go to hit my goal, but I am doing it the right way and I have Bell Fitness to thank for providing a supportive and inspiring atmosphere that is bringing out the best version of ME!
